The setup fee
You are paying for a custom build, not an onboarding charge.
The setup fee covers the work of documenting your firm as it actually operates. We do not hand you a template with your name in the header.
Setup includes tailoring your Written Information Security Plan to your firm's staff, devices, software, vendors, data practices and operating environment. It starts with a structured intake questionnaire that takes under ten minutes, and it produces a plan that describes your real environment rather than a generic one.

Billing notes
- Annual is the default. It is billed once for twelve months, includes the 12% signup discount, and waives the setup fee.
- Monthly is available. The one-time setup fee applies and is charged at the start.
- Devices are unlimited on every plan. Plans are banded by staff size, not by the number of computers, phones or tablets your firm uses.
- Tax. Software as a service is subject to Massachusetts sales tax under 830 CMR 64H.1.3 at the state rate. Separately stated professional services are treated differently. Invoices state each component separately. Confirm your own position with your tax advisor.
- Renewal notice. For any term longer than 31 days we send written notice of the renewal terms in advance of the deadline.
- Cancellation. At least as easy to access and use as enrolment, in the same place.
