Cost guide
How much does a WISP cost?
The honest answer is that the document can be free and the programme is where the money goes. Below is what the options actually are, what each one leaves you holding, and what we charge.
The four ways firms do this
You end up with a real document and no mechanism. Nothing tells you when a new vendor triggers a review, nothing logs the training, and next year you start again from a file you no longer remember writing.
The failure mode is specific: the document names software you no longer use and people who no longer work there, while you have already signed a form saying you maintain it.
Quality is usually high and the maintenance is usually a separate conversation. Ask specifically what happens in month seven, because that is where the cost lands.
Two things to check before you sign. Are there per-device or per-seat charges that grow as your firm does? And is the first document generic, or built from what your firm actually runs?
The four approaches above describe how this market is generally structured. They are not quotes, and they are not a claim about any named vendor's current pricing. Check the specific proposal in front of you.
What we charge
A one-time custom build, then a flat monthly rate.
The split is deliberate. The setup fee pays for the work of documenting your firm as it actually operates. The monthly fee pays for keeping the plan current and leaving a dated record behind it.
| Plan | Who it is for | Setup | Monthly | Annual | You save |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | 1 preparer | $199 | $39 | $412 | $255 |
| Firm | 2 to 10 staff | $399 | $89 | $940 | $527 |
| Multi-office | 11+ staff or multiple locations | $799 | $179 | $1,890 | $1,057 |
Annual plans include a 12% signup discount and waive the setup fee. Saving compares twelve months at the monthly rate plus setup against the annual price.
Unlimited devices
Plans are banded by firm size, not by how many computers, phones or tablets you run. There are no per-device charges on any tier.
Setup waived on annual
Choosing annual removes the one-time setup fee entirely, which is most of the saving.
Referrals cut your bill
Every firm that signs up with your code takes 20% off your own renewal, free at 5. How that works
Refer a firm, take 20% off your own renewal. Five and yours is free.
No cash changes hands and there is nothing to invoice. Every firm that signs up with your code takes 20% off your own next renewal, stacking to free at 5. On the Firm plan that is $188 off, and $940 a year saved outright.

The cost nobody quotes
Every price above is for producing a document. None of them is the real exposure, which is signing an attestation that is not backed by anything, or discovering during an incident that your plan describes a firm you stopped being two years ago.
We will not put a number on that, because it depends on the statute invoked, the conduct and the enforcing authority, and anyone who gives you a confident figure is selling you something. The one penalty figure we cite is on the requirements page, with its source.
